Concert Schedule for 2017-18 Season

Our Season continues on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at 7 PM.   We will have a Holidays Concert with the Christ Church Choir. This concert is part of the East Cooper Concert Series at Christ Church and will have an admission fee.  To learn more, please visit East Cooper Concert Series.

If your holiday spirit needs a jump start there is no better place for an electrifying performance than at Christ Church. The Southcoast Symphony Orchestra, Director Ron Mendola and the Christ Church Choir under Lorna Barker warmly invite you to join us for selections from the glorious Vivaldi “Gloria”, twice the fun with both Prokofiev’s “Troika” and Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride”, the iconic Greensleeves of Vaughn-Williams and a tuneful Christmas Sing Along with the Christ Church Choir under Lorna Barker. We guarantee you a Christmas surprise or two as well! 

 

Concert Venue for this season-Christ Church in Mount Pleasant. This is our second season at Christ Church and we are glad to be back. The Church is immediately past (just north of) Longpoint Rd on Hwy 17. If you are heading north on Hwy 17, once past Longpoint, immediately turn right onto Old Georgetown Rd, then wind around to the right to the church. We’ll be doing Bohemian related selections for our first concert of the season on Sunday October 15, 2017 at 4 PM at Christ Church in Mount Pleasant.

Our program will include selections from Dvorak Czech Suite, Brahms Hungarian Dances, Bartok Roumanian Folk Dances, Chopin Piano Concerto No 2, and Age Of Aquarius/Let the Sun Shine In.  We hope this musical exploration of the contributions of the Bohemians will be as much of joy to listen to as it is to perform.  We hope to see you in October in Mount Pleasant
